I was born Crystal Diane Eldridge in Wise County, Virginia on June 15, 1954. I am the oldest of eleven children. My dad was a retired coalminer who passed away from black lung/cancer in August of 2002. My mother lives in Tennessee and my brothers and sisters are scattered in different parts of the country. I am married with three children, all of whom are grown now. My husband and I live in Missouri. Some of my stories are made up of memories of tales told to me as a child, some from personal experiences, and others from observation. The same can be said of my poetry.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

- My short story "Covenant" was chosen by an educational publisher in Singapore as a reading comprehension passage.
